Privacy Policy
Short version: Wavetile collects no data. There's no Wavetile account, no analytics, no ads and no tracking. The developer can't see what you listen to.
What stays on your iPhone
- Your Jellyfin server address and username, and the access token from signing in. The token is stored in the iOS Keychain.
- A copy of your library (titles, artwork, play history) so the app is fast and works offline.
- Downloaded music and podcast episodes, your podcast subscriptions and listening progress, and your settings.
- Small snapshots for the Home Screen widgets, shared only between the app and its widgets.
Deleting the app deletes all of this. Signing out removes the token.
Who Wavetile talks to
- Your Jellyfin server. To sign in, sync your library, stream and download music, and report what you've played (so Jellyfin's play counts and Instant Mix work). Your server is run by you or whoever gave you access; their privacy terms apply.
- Podcast services, only if you turn podcasts on. Searching podcasts and browsing top shows uses Apple's public podcast directory. Following a show fetches its RSS feed and audio from the podcast's own host. Those hosts see your IP address, as with any podcast app. Subscriptions sync to your Jellyfin server.
Wavetile doesn't send data anywhere else and includes no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
Siri and widgets
Siri requests are handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. Widgets and the Live Activity run on your device.
Children
Wavetile collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
